Charles T. Russell, owner of PTM Corporation and Modified Technologies, Inc. (MTI), both of Fair Haven, Michigan has acquired HTC Products, Inc. of Royal Oak, Michigan. HTC Products, Inc. is a premier manufacturer of accessories for power tools. Since 1971, PTM Corporation has been a strong leader in the automotive industry for providing metal stampings to Ford Motor Company, General Motors, Daimler Chrysler, Nissan, Toyota, Land Rover, Subaru, and many tier one automotive component suppliers. In 1998, Modified Technologies, Inc. was acquired to complement what PTM Corporation had already established in the industry. Both PTM and MTI have been leaders in a highly competitive automotive environment. HTC Products, Inc. has had the same success in the power tool industry that both PTM and MTI have established, so it only made HTC Products a perfect fit. Moving into the power tool industry has given PTM & MTI the opportunity to diversify and integrate automotive technologies into the power tool industry and to have representation in a non-automotive market.
